About the experience of Polyrhythm on zoom:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2766<\/span>\u00a0 For us, drumming in a polyrhythmic ensemble (when more than one rhythm is being played in the group at once), is living in the land of drum magic. After learning all the rhythms, the feeling of connection inherent with interlocking rhythms in the drumming ensemble experience, is positively climactic! Yes, even raw beginners can do this!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2766<\/span>\u00a0 And for that, you need at least 3 people: you playing your rhythm, someone playing the same rhythm with you (support), & someone playing an accompanying rhythm (making polyrhythm). You also need to have a sense of the basic Pulse, & how to align with it. The Pulse is the thread that connects all our parts together.<\/p>\n

\u2766<\/span>\u00a0 With both of us on screen, each playing a different rhythm, we can support your experience of a polyrhythmic ensemble! Depending on your skill level, you can stay on your rhythm, change between parts while playing, or even play your own spontaneous solo rhythm, all while being accompanied by the 2 of us!<\/p>\n

\u2766<\/span>\u00a0 We’ve all been experiencing what I call “alone-together”, drumming on zoom & other platforms, for at least a few years. While online classes offer so much flexibility when it comes to geographical locations and scheduling, it’s impossible to replicate the group drumming musicality & energy, when in an online group drumming program! However, since we’re all unable to be together (YET! is the operative word!), we can be grateful for technology, as this is the next best way. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffd<\/p>\n

Most distributors (including the wholesale distributor for our business, The Rhythm Inlet<\/strong><\/em>), have experienced repeated backorders with the manufacturer, Remo, due to global delays in production & shipping industries in general, & an increased interest in this drum specifically. So if you’re not opposed to Amazon, keep checking their price, which changes sometimes daily & weekly.
